Freeport and Portland, without staying in town
Spend the day at L.L.Bean and the Freeport outlets, a brewery or a lobster shack, or drive 20 minutes into Portland for dinner in the Old Port. Then come back to a quiet campground and a fire under the pines.
The dunes of the Desert of Maine are right next door. It's a separate attraction, and campground guests get 10% off admission and mini golf.
